Sangria Gratis?! Por fa y gracias!

Translation: Free sangria? Please and thank you!

Today was our second official day of class 11:30-1:30. The plan was to go to Retiro Park and drink wine and get some lunch right after class but we ended up going back with 2 girls from the trip to a mall by their place to find decent priced and cute flats. IMPOSSIBLE. Couldn't find any! We were starving and gave up so decided to just head to Retiro Park and eat there. We knew we wanted to sit outside since it was so beautiful out so when we walked down a black after getting off the Metro we found this pizza place with outside seating so we sat there. (Btw eating outside costs more than eating inside, which we knew, but it was too nice of a day to pass it up!) As per usual we had trouble deciding what to order and found out the waiter spoke English so we were talking Spanglish with each other. He was such a nice guy and when we finally ordered we got: Bruschetta, Multi-Cheese Pizza and a pitcher of Sangria.... I mean it was a good deal so how could we not get sangria!! :) Our waiter accidently brought us out a large pizza instead of a small so only charged us for a small so now we have yummy leftovers! :) The food was delicious and of course the sangria was as well!!! Here's of the delicious food:
Our friends Brittany, Ali, and Taylor met us at the restaurant and ordered a pitcher of sangria and before we knew it we had ordered another one for Abby and I. The waiter had so much fun talking with us and only charged us for one pitcher instead of two! Pretty sweet deal I'd say :) We decided to go into the restaurant to drink some more sangria because it's cheaper and again before we knew it we had finished the pitcher and another (if I counted right!).. These two old guys came in and were talking to us and told us they wanted a place to drink coffee and talk to people and that we looked like we'd be fun to talk with! I was speaking pretty good Spanglish if I do say so myself :) These guys were so nice and they ended up paying for our next couple pitchers of sangria!!! We were in shock, and they most definitely didn't have to, and we offered to pay but they wouldn't have it.. sooo free sangria? please and thank you :) We thanked them many times and made our way (finally haha) to Retiro Park! We just walked around a little bit and had a great time :)

Here's Abby and I at lunch:

We went back to our place after and our host mom, Puri, made us fettuccine (yummy yummy yummy!!) and some deepfried flour and ham thing which was very tasty as well :) We finished eating and freshened up becuase we were meeting people in downtown Madrid very soon! We ended up going to a tapas bar called "El Tigre" which apparently is in the gay part of Madrid and there's lots of prostitutes on the street everywhere, which I must be very oblivious cuz I didn't see any haha Anyways I just got one wine drink which I didn't really like so I was sharing it with everyone, butttt we ended the night early in order to catch the Metro and get some sleep to prepare for tomorrow..

Tomorrow... KAPITAL!!! It's a seven-story bar and it is going to be insane!! We are all going and we plan on staying out till the Metro opens again in the morning haha Should be an interesting night and I cannot wait!! :)

Overall, successful day! Oh and my nose and shoulders got a little red, finally! :)

Love you all and miss you lots!! Thanks for all the calls, I love talking to everyone :)
